Channing`s in Sauble Beach

Very fresh and delicious. Extremely busy but for good reason. We had 30 minute wait for take out, but some others seemed to wait longer. They said their cooks come in from Toronto for the summer and they were now short.

Had there takeout food, one of the best Chinese food i have ever had in a long time..

This place has amazing food. The food is very good quality and quantity. They offer the traditional Chinese food dishes as well as some more authentic choices. The view is beautiful over looking the breach and water.

Great location on beach. Food below average....noodles dry, food cold, reheated in microwaves, pop flat...."don't really care attitude". Brought these to attention if owner..did not care, no discount on not eaten food.

Such a disappointment. Do not eat here. Worst chinese food I have ever had. Pathetic portion size, really sad. Will never be back.

Do not be fooled by the positive comments like we were, you'll be let down quite easily. Food is bland, service is mostly mediocre, and the atmosphere is just what you'd expect to compliment that.

I used to work here way back in the day when they first opened. Since eating here, I have (still) not been able to find Chinese food that is as good. My personal favourites are the Lemon Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Honey Garlic Wontons, Tofu with Black Bean Sauce and Vegetable Lo Mein. Their food is made in house, their sauces are amazing, and the food isn't super greasy.Just be warned that during the summer season they are EXTREMELY busy for both order in and take out, especially long weekends. And they are unfortunately not open in the winter. I try and order every time I am "up North" during the summer.

The number isn’t working as we tried to call and also you should mention the restaurant is closed in the winter.

Absolutely yummy food! Unfortunately when ordering this time around they kept telling me it would be ready in 15-20 mins when it was an hour and a half until i was able to pick up my food. I'M SOOO HUNGRYYYY. NOT FAIR I JUST WANT MY FOOOOOOODDD.

Cute little restaurant just finding parking is a challenge if you go on weekends or at dinner time.

Service was a bit slow, the food was good flavour but room temperature. Can't beat the view!

Had Shanghai Lo Mein (mild) and Sechuan Tofu. Both were excellent. Spring rolls and won ton soup were yummy. Servers were friendly and helpful. Will eat here again & would recommend this place to others.

I ordered vegetable noodles stir fry. I got chow mein with veggies, some pieces entirely raw and the whole thing completely tasteless. P.S. Interestingly they do have chow mein as a separate item on the menu.

They just re-opened for the season (May 19,2018) and we had to have it! Was delicious as always! Hot, fresh, not over oily or over seasoned. Not too much batter on the chicken balls. And the sweet and sour sauce was not sickly sweet, it was perfect. Yum!

The food was fantastic.

We ordered egg roll with veg noodles and chicken noodles. To be honest, not a great place for Chinese food. Unless you are craving for Chinese, you can avoid this place.

Extremely long wait, and the food was sub-par. I understand that the restaurant will be busy during peak hours, but we were ignored by the server for extensive periods of time, and again, the food was disappointing.

If I could give them a lower mark, I would. We waited for an hour and was ingored by the server. Not happy. We had 4 kids that were straving. Left and went across the street an only waited 5 mins.

Some of the best food you will get in the area

This is honestly some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. We were originally going to order from a place in Wiarton but instead decided on Channing's after reading some reviews. Well, the reviews were correct. The pricing was fair and the food was extremely fresh and tasty. We had a dinner for 4A and added some additional sides. We will definitely be ordering from Channing's again.The only issue I saw was that there was a leaking air conditioning line in the dining room that seemed to be causing an issue for some dine-in customers. Hopefully that's been fixed.
